Meet Your Facilitators

Facilitator
Sarah Waxman
Sarah is the founder and CEO of At The Well. She brings extensive experience in sociology and holistic medicine, combined with her background as a national champion athlete and certified instructor in yoga and mindfulness. She founded At The Well to create a sanctuary where individuals can be witnessed and witness others, fostering meaningful connections between Jewish heritage and contemporary life through shared learning and authentic community building.

Rabbi Karen Deitsch
Rabbi Karen Deitsch was ordained in 2004 by Hebrew Union College - Jewish Institute of Religion and has earned certifications in Clinical Hypnotherapy, Classical Homeopathy, Color Therapy, and became trained as both a Jewish and Hatha Yoga Instructor. She strives to live in service of the healing of the Shekhinah (the Divine Feminine) and to the experience of God as the union of masculine and feminine in the Divine Sacred marriage.

Nellie Hayat
Nellie Hayat is a public speaker and leadership training expert based in Los Angeles. She has worked with leaders from some of Silicon Valley’s top companies, as well as with rabbis, educators, and community leaders, inspiring a new generation of leadership rooted in possibility and purpose. Since 2020, she and her husband have built a vibrant community in Venice, opening their home to artists, healers, and the local Jewish community. An influential Jewish leader, Nellie has also been a longtime champion of At The Well and worked with women to deepen their practice of mikveh and niddah rituals.

Darlene Cordero
Darlene Cordero founded Wellness Culture, an organization dedicated to supporting wellness practitioners, teachers, and healers. Her creative vision has led to impactful collaborations with luminaries such as Deepak Chopra and multi-Grammy award-winning Latin recording artist J Balvin. Darlene is also the author of The Healer's Playbook: Empowering Wellness Entrepreneurs, a guide designed to help wellness practitioners build purpose-driven, thriving businesses.

Pontea Banayan
A multilingual songweaver and ceremonial musician, Pontea creates sacred spaces where sound becomes remembrance and medicine. With crystal bowls, handpan, native flute, guitar, percussion, and voice, she guides heart-centered journeys that awaken healing, unity, and deep connection. Her music flows between earthy lows and celestial highs - weaving world, folk, soul, and meditative influences into a truly transformational experience.

Julien Pell is a Los Angeles-based embodiment teacher, facilitator, and transformational life coach with over 12 years of experience guiding students into deeper presence, aliveness, and ease within themselves.

Who is this experience for?
This gathering is for women and nonbinary people age 18+ in Greater Los Angeles. Join us! This is a welcoming, grounding space for all ages and backgrounds.
No prior knowledge or experience is required — you can come from any spiritual tradition or from none at all. This will be an accessible community space centering supportive learning and connection. See At The Well's community guidelines here.
Can I take part if I'm not Jewish?
Absolutely! At The Well welcomes people of all spiritual backgrounds. Jewish wisdom has so much to offer in supporting your well-being. Whether you identify as Jewish or not, we welcome you to our resources and events, including this Embodied Joy experience. Where will Sacred Reset be held?
Sacred Reset will be hosted in a private eco sanctuary in Topanga Canyon. (Please note, tickets are limited!)
The day's activities will require stairs and navigating uneven terrain within a (stunningly beautiful) outdoor environment. Please choose suitable footwear and dress with the weather in mind.

What is the refund policy?
Refunds will be issued in full for refund requests received on or before Friday, Oct. 24, 2025. After Oct. 24, no refunds will be issued. Spaces are very limited, and we want you to create meaningful relationships with other participants through sustained connection.
We strive to create a supportive and welcoming environment for all participants. If we determine that this experience isn’t the right match, or if we need to ask someone to leave for any reason, we reserve the right to do so. In such cases, we will offer a full refund.
