Ilana Rose Cloud (@ilanarosecloud) is an illustrator, designer, and photographer based in Portland, Oregon. Ilana is a member of a longstanding Well Circle and has coached many others on how to create a Rosh Chodesh practice that is meaningful to them.

Chaya Toron (@paintsbychaya) is rooted deeply in her Jewish heritage, and her art reflects the soul of her culture through soft pigments, layered rituals, and occasional bursts of expressive color.

Each month’s coloring page also weaves in a piece of poetry from The Way of Blessing the Moon, whose blessings come from the pens of: Kali Basman, Ester Eckhaus, Mushka Eidelman, Zo Flamenbaum, Aura Chaya Gispan, Caroline Kessler, Miranda Rose Mower, Hannah Prager, Kayla Rosen, Sarah Sassoon, Allegra Marino Shmulevsky, Bailey Spencer, and Remi Welbel.

I like the materials

I like the materials, but given that the description showed 5787 on the calendar, including when asking for my review. Given that I bought a bundle expecting a calendar for next year, rather than the year in the last month, it was disappointing.

When we switched to including the new 5787 calendar, we updated the product pictures and details accordingly, which is what you see now. Loved this bundle and returned to purchase an extra as a gift. The calendar is informative, and the ritual book is a small treasure -- beautiful and deeply useful. In our Rosh Chodesh circle, people gravitated to the coloring book. It allowed for a calming, reflective space as we centered on the theme of emerging from our narrow places during Nissan.
While coloring, we meditated with the chant Harini (True Face) from Rabbi Shefa Gold: “Let me see who you really are; let me hear your voice, for your voice is sweet and your face is radiant” (Song of Songs 2:14).

Also appreciated: it arrived earlier than expected, right when I was looking for meaningful resources for our circle, and it perfectly aligned with the experience we needed.
