What is the connection to the moon?

For thousands of years, the Hebrew calendar has been tied to the cycles of the moon. In fact, marking time by the moon was the very first commandment given after liberation from slavery in Egypt!

Each new crescent moon ushers in a new month — and each new month brings a special invitation for spiritual growth. Many other Jewish holidays occur during the full moon!

When do texts arrive?

Jewish days begin at night! We’ll send texts at 8pm ET / 7pm CT / 6pm MT / 5pm PT.

How often will I receive messages?

My Moon Message texts wax and wane throughout the year, according to what’s going on in the Hebrew calendar at that time. During some seasons you’ll get daily texts (e.g. the holidays of Sukkot and Hanukkah). In other seasons, texts come every week or two. Subscribers love the surprise when a new text arrives!

To be specific: You can expect an average of 5-7 SMS messages per month, and up to 20 SMS messages per month. Message & data rates may apply. If you wish to stop receiving texts, reply STOP at any time. Your year of My Moon Message will end 1 year (365 days) after your date of purchase. 

Will I get texts during the Omer?

Yes! The Omer is a seven-week period of deep reflection following Passover. In Jewish mysticism, each week is associated with a divine quality (sefirah) that we can refine within ourselves. You'll receive several messages each week helping you to develop that week's spiritual quality: loving-kindness, boundaries, leadership, and more.

Is this a subscription?

Yes. Each My Moon Message subscription lasts one year (365 days) and we'll give you a heads-up that it's about to seamlessly auto-renew. Subscribers tell us they love deepening their appreciation of Jewish time year after year. You can cancel anytime.

Is My Moon Message available internationally?

Because of new legal requirements, we are only able to send texts to U.S. and Canadian phone numbers. But our Hebrew Calendars ship all around the world!

Can I sign up if I'm not Jewish?

Yes! The power of keeping time by the moon is available to all. Whether or not you identify as Jewish, there is ancient wisdom here to root into. We’re excited to share it with you!
